Board of Geauga County Public Library

Seven Library Board members serve seven-year terms that expire on June 30. Terms are staggered with one term expiring each year. Four Library Board members are appointed by the County Commissioners and three are appointed by the Common Pleas Court Judges. Once appointed, the Library Board is a body politic and political subdivision of the State of Ohio with autonomous responsibility for library operations.

WHEN: Meetings are held monthly on the 3rd Tuesday at 4 p.m.
WHERE:  Location rotating among different library branches

Board of Geauga Metropolitan Housing Authority

The mission of Geauga Metropolitan Housing Authority is to provide affordable housing that is sanitary and safe to elderly, disabled, and low-income families in the community while providing them with opportunities to being financially secure and having a better life.

Metropolitan Housing Authorities are established by the state director of development. Under ORC 3735.31, Geauga's five member board may compete for and perform federal housing contracts or grants;  clear, plan, redevelop, and rebuild slum areas within the district in which the authority is created; provide safe and sanitary housing accommodations to families of low income within that district; make available, acquire, construct, improve, manage, lease, or own mixed-use or mixed-income developments, or a combination of such developments.

Board of Geauga Park District

The mission of Geauga Park District is to preserve, conserve and protect the natural features of Geauga County and to provide outdoor recreational experiences to our residents of every age, every ability and at all times of the year.
 
WHEN: Meetings are held monthly on the 2nd Monday at 8:30 a.m.
WHERE: Big Creek Park’s Meyer Center, 9160 Robinson Rd, Chardon, OH 44024 unless otherwise noted
ACCESS: In-person only.  No public comment.

Board of Geauga Soil and Water Conservation District

The Geauga SWCD is a legal entity of the State of Ohio and is administered by a five-member, elected Board of Supervisors. These Board members make important decisions regarding conservation within the county and set the direction for the District Staff.

WHEN:Meetings are held monthly on the 3rd Tuesday at 7:30 a.m.
WHERE: Patterson Center, 14269 Claridon-Troy Road, Burton
ACCESS: Open to the public. In-person format or virtually as advised for public health reasons.
