Board of Geauga Metropolitan Housing Authority
The mission of Geauga Metropolitan Housing Authority is to provide affordable housing that is sanitary and safe to elderly, disabled, and low-income families in the community while providing them with opportunities to being financially secure and having a better life.
Metropolitan Housing Authorities are established by the state director of development. Under ORC 3735.31, Geauga's five member board may compete for and perform federal housing contracts or grants; clear, plan, redevelop, and rebuild slum areas within the district in which the authority is created; provide safe and sanitary housing accommodations to families of low income within that district; make available, acquire, construct, improve, manage, lease, or own mixed-use or mixed-income developments, or a combination of such developments.
WHEN: Meetings are held monthly on the 3rd Tuesday at 4:00 p.m.
